Golf Tournament 2012

The 9th Edition of Ste. Anne’s Hospital Foundation’s Golf Tournament to benefit our Canadian Veterans will take place Friday June 1st, 2012 at the magnificent Saint-Raphaël Golf Club on Île-Bizard.

This year, we are honored that Major-General (Ret’d) Frédéric Mariage will act as Honorary Chairman of the Golf tournament. Also, amongst our special guests, we are pleased that Mr. Peter Dalla Riva, former professional Canadian football player with the Montreal Alouettes and member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, will be joining us. The General and Mr. Dalla Riva are looking forward to meeting you and to share in this wonderful cause with all of the participants, Veterans and military personnel.

Several curative surfaces for Veterans receiving palliative care and end-of-life care

This equipment prevents and lessens the occurrence of bed sores as well as the level of pain associated with immobility and sudden loss of body weight for patients in palliative care. The equipment includes intelligent mattresses that distribute the patient’s weight to eliminate pressure points and contribute to a higher level of comfort for dying patients.

Cost of equipment: $46,000

Freedom is never free. This, our Veterans know it too well. Their families and their loved ones know this as well. Our Veterans have sacrificed much for our Freedom and that of vulnerable populations around the world. Several returned with physical or psychological injuries. Now that they have done their duty, ours only begins. Today is the time to offer our Veterans of all ages the best care and services they deserve.
